Monkami Nursery

Monkami operates a fully functional nursery. It provides an opportunity for clients to learn pre-vocational and social skills while working in an environment where they can integrate with the general community.

The Nursery Program is designed to provide clients with the opportunity to develop working skills in an environment that is as close as practicable to that of a retail nursery.

The program aims are:

• To develop and enhance the clients personal skill development and individual character;
• To create positive work ethics and a sense of personal pride.
• To develop initiative and responsibility.
• To learn socially acceptable behaviour in the community.
• To work together as a valued member in a team environment.
• To provide an opportunity for socially acceptable banter.
• To produce a quality standard of plant for retail sale.
• To encourage identification of plants/foliage types.
• To identifiy the provision of plant requirements and needs and to learn most aspects of plant growing.
• To encourage reverse integration in the community.
• To provide a customer service.
• To create a fundraising opportunity.

The Monkami Nursery is open Monday to Friday from        9.00 am to 4.00 pm. It is located on the corner of Lincoln Rd and Dorset Road, Croydon, as part of the Monkami Centre premises.

    • All seniors will receive an extra 15% off their purchases.
