Monkami
Centre is very proud to announce that we have received a Maroondah
City Council Australia Day Award. Monkami received the Community
Event of the Year Award for the performance of Titanic the Untold
Story: Resunk.
It is a
recognition of the individual achievement of each actor in the
drama group, creating a character of their interest and telling
their stories to an audience of over 500 people. The award also
acknowledges the collaboration by Monkami with other community
groups to achieve this wonderful result.
These
are photos taken of James, Clare and two actors, Adam and Andrew
receiving the nomination certificate and the award itself from the
Mayor, Cr Peter Gurr on January 26th 2009.
